2017 RAM 1500
Features
Exterior
The exterior of the 2017 Ram 1500 offers Big Horn, Laramie Longhorn, Sport, and Rebel trims with other fantastic features. Another considerable exterior modification that has been made to the 2017 models was the significant changes to its cabins, which gives it a huge lead over other trucks in its class.
Interior
Every 2017 Ram 1500 interior has enhanced its functionality and comfort in comparison with previous models. The high quality leather seat trim has some of the finest stitching available in commercially sold trucks. For select trims, the Ram 1500 has incorporated European-sourced wood into the paneling which offers an elegant and smooth finish. The Class-Exclusive Rotary E-Shift makes it possible to shift from park to reverse without having to watch where you're shifting. One of the many available six-ring cluster dashboard designs carry inspiration from vintage metalwork and antique watches.
Technology
The 2017 Ram 1500's technology makes it possible for the truck to operate as an entertainment center or a mobile office. If purchased with the Uconnect 8.4 NAV system, it offers features such as 3D terrain maps and interior climate. The steering wheel-mounted buttons and Voice Command system allow one to remain in complete control. An optional multi-view dial cluster (with 7 inch display) allows one to customize the vehicle's information to suit one's needs. These clusters allow the driver to view their performance levels via the convenient, colorful and crisp array.
Performance
All 2017 Ram 1500s come with a 305 horsepower V6 that are known to bring more to the table than just heavy towing, as they can deliver the power needed for the most difficult driving situations. Many critics have praised its "cloud-like" ride quality, which makes it one of the more superior trucks on the market. As far as mileage, the truck rates at an average fuel economy for V6 powered trucks, which is an estimated 25 miles per gallon on the highway and 17 miles per gallon in the city. If towing is your main concern, you should consider a Ram 1500 with a V8 engine as it can put out almost 400 horsepower. If gas mileage is your main concern, you should opt for turbodiesel. The turbodiesel can get at least 29 miles per gallon and provide the power you'll need for heavy towing.
Safety
Some of the many safety perks that come with the 2017 Ram 1500 include: a rear air bag, a passenger air bag, a passenger air bag on/off switch, a driver air bag, a rear head air bag, a rear body air bag, a side air bag, ABS, 4-wheel ABS, brake assist, electronic stability control, child safety locks, daytime running lights, auto-on headlights, rear drum/front disc brakes, night vision, integrated turn signal mirrors, traction control, rear tow hooks, front tow hooks, a rollover protection
